With support from the Ministry of Defence, we’re organising a celebration in honour of Armed Forces on Saturday 1 July (11am to 4pm) in Gadebridge Park, Hemel Hempstead.
The Armed Forces Day event is an opportunity for residents and ourselves to show gratitude and appreciation for past, present and future military forces from air, land and sea units.
The event is free to enter and has something for all the family to enjoy.
Headlining are the world famous Royal Signals motorcycle display team, The White Helmets, who will be performing one of their final ever shows at the event.
There will be fairground rides and a variety of stalls, stands and activities in the park. People will also be able to enjoy a fire safety demonstration from the Fire and Rescue service and live music. Radio Dacorum will be broadcasting live throughout the day.
Cllr Neil Harden, Portfolio Holder for Residents and Corporate Services, said: "I'd like to encourage as many residents as possible to come along and enjoy this family fun day with us.
"This event is a way for all of us to show how grateful we are to our service personnel, both past and serving, for all the sacrifices they have made on our behalf. They deserve our support and recognition, and I look forward to seeing a great turnout for this spectacular event."
