Parking restriction enforcement
The enforcement of all parking restrictions will continue through any lockdown periods and in all COVID-19 tiers. This will enable us to respond to any increase in parking levels on local roads, enforce resident permit bays in Controlled Parking Zones, on-street Pay and Park and limited wait bays.
Health care and critical workers displaying the locally arranged Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust pass and national parking pass issued by their employer will continue to be able to park in resident permit bays, shared use bays, Pay and Park bays and our car parks free of charge, pending any change of policy by the Government. Parking in bus stops, taxi ranks, suspended bays, disabled bays (without a blue badge), zigzags or on yellow lines obstructing pedestrians or traffic is not permitted.
Our surface car parks are open 24 hours a day. Our multi-storey car parks: Water Gardens (North) Hemel Hempstead is open daily 6am to 6pm and Lower Kings Road, Berkhamsted is open daily 7am to 1am. We advise customers to pay by phone if possible and by contactless card if not. As with touching any other street furniture, we recommend washing or sanitising your hands after using the Pay and Park machines. Lines have been marked around the Pay and Park machines in our car parks to help maintain social distancing. For information concerning privately owned car parks (such as Marlowes Shopping Centre, Riverside, NCP, Waitrose, Apsley retail park, London Northwestern, and Jarman Park) please visit their individual websites.
All waiting restrictions are being enforced.
We recommend that Pay and Park payment is made by contactless card and that you wash or sanitise your hands after use.
Residential areas (including Controlled Parking Zones)
All waiting restrictions are being enforced in CPZs and other residential areas.
Residents in Controlled Parking zones should check that their resident permit has not expired and reapply for one if it has.
If you have a street or neighbourhood WhatsApp group, Facebook or similar, please use these to help any neighbours who may still require parking where there are waiting restrictions to find safe off-street parking.
