Visitor vouchers

If you live in a controlled parking zone and your address qualifies, you can also buy visitor vouchers. You do not need to have a residents' parking permit to buy visitor vouchers.

Each household (one property) can:

  • buy visitor vouchers (the amount you can buy depends on which zone you live in – see table below), and
  • buy up to four one-week permits per year for longer visits.

If you are a senior citizen (over 60 years), you can buy up to double the visitor voucher allocation for the zone you live in and up to eight one-week permits per year.

Prices

Vouchers are available in books.

  • £4 for 25 one-hour vouchers (£2 for senior citizens and Dacorum Card holders)
  • £12 for 20 five-hour vouchers (£6 for senior citizens and Dacorum Card holders)

You can buy vouchers in complete books in any combination up to your annual allowance.

Each long-stay (one week) visitor permit costs £3 (half price for senior citizens and Dacorum Card holders). Each permit is only valid for the specified dates.

Using your vouchers

Scratch off a box in every section – day, date, month, time of start of visit, am/pm.

You can display more than one voucher to cover the required parking time. Stagger the start times so that the expiry time of one voucher matches the start time of the next.

If you are parking the vehicle overnight, display vouchers to cover it until the end of the restricted hours, and another voucher starting from the beginning of restricted hours the next day. You can display all the vouchers at the same time.

Apply

To apply for visitor vouchers, please download the  Parking permit and visitor voucher application form (PDF 423KB), fill in the requested details and either post it to us at: The Parking Service, PO BOX 921, Hemel Hempstead, Herts, HP1 1ZP.

Alternatively, print, sign, date, scan and then email the application form (with credit/debit card details) and supporting documentation to dacorum.uk@parkindigo.com.

Note: If you are paying by credit/debit card, please include your contact telephone number. A representative of the The Parking Service will need to contact you for your card's security details, and payment will then be made by telephone.
