Eight ways to have your say
If you live in Dacorum, the Council is part of your everyday life - so it’s important that you have a say in the decisions that affect you. There are lots of ways Dacorum residents can get involved in local decision making.
Influence your councillors
If you want to influence a local decision or have a problem with a council service, you can make your case to your local councillor. Details can be found at www.dacorum.gov.uk/councillors.

Join the reader panel
Give us feedback on the information and publications we produce for Dacorum’s residents, such as Dacorum Digest and your Council Tax leaflet. If you would like to volunteer to join the reader panel please call 01442 228694 or email email@example.com.
Tenants and residents groups
Tenants and Residents Associations (TARAs) are groups of local people with a common interest in improving the area in which they live. To find out more go to www.dacorum.gov.uk/housing, call 01442 228000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
There are five Neighbourhood Action areas in Hemel Hempstead where local residents identify issues and work with councillors and other organisations to make a difference in their neighbourhoods. For more information call 01442 228305 or email email@example.com.
Register to vote
If you do not register then you can’t exercise your democratic right to vote in any election. You must be registered by law. With a general election taking place this year it’s crucial that you’re included on the electoral roll so that you can have your say.
