Old Town Halloween Party 2022

Fancy dress contestants in the Old Town Hemel Hempstead for the Halloween Party 2022On Sunday 30 October 2022, we hosted our Hemel Old Town Halloween Party, in partnership with Community Action Dacorum and Hemel Old Town Market.

As the rain clouds lifted, it was fantastic to see so many of you coming out to join in the fun, enjoy the entertainment and sample the diverse selection of market stalls.

There were some incredible Halloween costumes on display, from pumpkins to Captain America. Our fancy dress competition was hugely popular, making the judging process extremely difficult for our judges, the Rt Hon Sir Mike Penning MP, Mayor of Dacorum Cllr John Birnie and Cllr Julie Banks. Congratulations to all our winners and thank you to our prize sponsors, Hemel Hempstead XC, Cloud 9 Leisure, Hemel Hempstead BID and Dacorum Community Trust.

During the event, our beautiful Old Town Hall was home to a range of Halloween-themed children's activities, including spooky Mad Science sessions, close creepy encounters with Jungle Juniors and arts and crafts with Anna's Funky Art.

After the party, the sky over Hemel Old Town was lit up by a stunning firework display in Gadebridge Park.
