Bank Holiday service changes

Following the announcement of the Bank Holiday on Monday 19 September 2022 for the State Funeral for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, please note the following changes to our services:

  • There will no bin collections on the Bank Holiday Monday. Collections will be one day later than usual next week and return to normal from Monday 26 September. Check your next collection date online.
  • Our offices at The Forum in Hemel Hempstead and our Customer Service phone lines will be closed. During these times you can still use all our online services.
  • You can contact the emergency council housing repairs service on 0800 018 6050 and make payments using our 24-hour automated service on 0345 370 6070.
  • The Old Town Hall, Gadebridge Splash Park, Leisure Centres and Adventure Playgrounds will be closed.
  • Woodwells and Heath Lane cemeteries in Hemel Hempstead, Kingshill in Berkhamsted and Tring Cemetery are open for visitors from 9am to 4.30pm. We will be carrying out existing commitments in the morning but our offices will be closed to the public.

These changes will allow as many of our staff as possible to be able to pay their respects and watch the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
