Blooming marvellous! Hat-trick of awards for our green spaces
We have received three awards at this year’s prestigious Anglia in Bloom ceremony, held at The Carnegie Theatre in Thetford, Norfolk.
The awards, which recognise excellence in horticulture and community involvement, are a reflection of our dedication to creating vibrant, sustainable, and welcoming green spaces for all.
Our achievements include:
- Gold Award - Gadebridge Park: Praised for its diverse planting styles and extensive amenities, making it a standout destination for residents and visitors.
- Gold Award - Jellicoe Water Gardens: Acknowledged for its beautiful restoration and efforts to support local pollinators, further enriching the local biodiversity.
- Silver Gilt Award - Tring Memorial Garden: Commended for its serene atmosphere, high maintenance standards, and strong community engagement.
The Anglia in Bloom competition showcases the creativity, hard work, and passion that go into making communities across the East of England more beautiful through imaginative and sustainable horticultural efforts.
Cllr Robin Bromham, our Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhood Operations, said: "We are extremely proud of the recognition our parks have received at the Anglia in Bloom Awards. This is a testament to the dedication of our staff and volunteers, who work tirelessly to ensure that Dacorum’s parks not only enhance the beauty of our borough but also provide a safe haven for wildlife and a vibrant space for the community to enjoy."
