Volunteer management

We provide volunteering opportunities within many different departments, services and projects. These vary from short-term volunteering roles for specific projects, to ongoing volunteering roles such as Street Champions.

All staff involved with volunteers receive training on our new volunteer management policy. This training includes writing a clear role description and advertisement for volunteer opportunities, volunteer inductions and supervision, retaining volunteers and conducting risk assessments. Our volunteers will also have the opportunity to take part in an e-learning training course on safeguarding, and receive refunds for travel where eligible. All this will help to provide an excellent volunteering experience.
